Restylane fillers are based on hyaluronic acid. This filler substance plumps and adds volume to facial areas. Hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in your body, is responsible for the elasticity and hydration of your skin. We produce less and less hyaluronic acid as we age. Because of this, wrinkles and fine lines form, volume is lost, and a sunken appearance appears.

Your Restylane Rejuvenation Treatment: What to Expect.

We advise you to avoid alcohol for a few days before and after your Restylane treatment. This will minimize any risk of bruising or swelling and will maximize your results.

You may want a numbing agent to make the injections more comfortable.

Restylane is formulated with a mild anesthetic for an easier treatment experience. Your Restylane will be injected into precise locations using a very fine needle. The entire process will take anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, depending on the extent of the area being treated.

Does Restylane Have a Recovery Time?

You should be able to go right back to your daily activities after your treatment. No downtime is required, but strenuous activity should be avoided for the first 24 hours, as well as sun exposure and makeup. You may experience some swelling or redness after your treatment, but these are typically mild and resolve on their own in a matter of days. You will see improvements immediately after your treatment. The added volume will smooth away wrinkles or restore or add subtle volume. Your final results will be visible about two weeks after your treatment and will last for up to a year.

What is a Restylane Treatment Like?

Before your treatment, we recommend avoiding alcohol or blood-thinning medications for a few days to help minimize bruising or swelling. Your treatment will take less than an hour from start to finish.

Treatment begins with a private consultation to discuss your aesthetic goals. From there, we will thoroughly cleanse your skin. If you prefer a local anesthetic, we will apply it for your comfort. The Restylane gel is carefully injected with an ultrafine needle in the desired treatment areas. The Restylane formula is made with a mild anesthetic, making the treatment more comfortable. You will notice immediate results–smoothed lines and wrinkles, plumper lips, more youthful hands, or other desired changes.
