Before Your Juvéderm Treatment

During your initial consultation, we will go over your aesthetic goals and your medical history. Our talented aesthetician will evaluate your skin and recommend the best treatment for your personal circumstances and goals. At Surface MedSpa, we offer a wide array of dermal fillers, each of which has unique characteristics and offers its own set of benefits. If your goals can be achieved with a treatment other than Juvéderm, we will recommend the most suitable treatment option for you.

To prepare for your first Juvéderm treatment, you should avoid anything that might irritate your skin, such as chemical peels, exfoliants and sun tanning.

A quick and easy treatment

Before your appointment, you should clean your skin with a gentle cleanser and skip applying makeup. Once you arrive, your injector will sanitize your skin and apply a topical numbing cream. Once the area has been numbed, your injector will inject your Juvéderm using a tiny needle, gradually building volume. The entire process takes between 15 and 30 minutes, after which you should be able to go right back to your regular activities. No downtime is required, and you should even be able to drive yourself home right after your appointment.

How long will my results last?

The smoothing, plumping effect of Juvéderm is visible immediately. Wrinkles and lines fade into the background. The final look is achieved about two weeks following your treatment. Juvederm delivers long-lasting results. You should be able to enjoy your results for up to 18 months. Your body will slowly and safely reabsorb the filler, and the soft volume slowly fading, at which point, just reach out to us for an appointment to refresh your results.
